THE COMPLETE COMMODORE JAZZ RECORDINGS- VOL III

This is the third of three volumes of Early Commodore Jazz recordings put together by Mosaic. This set covers mid 1945 to 1957, and features sessions by 23 artists including Bud Freeman, Chu Berry, Bunk Johnson, Billie Holiday, Red Norvo, Bill Coleman, Gene Krupa, Stuff Smith, Teddy Wilson, Don Byas, George Zack, Johona Jones, Bill Davidson, Eddie Edwards, George Brunies, Mel Powell, Bob Wilbur, Ralph Sutton, Sidney Bechet, Johnny Wiggs, Willie Smith, Frank Wess, and Peck Kelley.
Also included with this set is a second booklet that's a complete discography for the Commodore Jazz Recordings.
-These sessions are as complete as possible, and in chronological order. Mosaic has used the best original source material available to release them in this LP box set. This set is one of an edition limited to 2500, but it's not individually numbered.
-This is a complete set, with 20 disks and 2 booklets. The LPs are extremely clean, and I don't see anything that makes me think they've been played. There is some minor dishing on about half of the LPs that won't affect the sound quality or playability. As much as I'd like to say these are Near Mint, because of the dishing, a high Excellent is the best I can do. The box and booklet are NM.

- Albums are graded visually unless otherwise indicated.
- LPs are shipped in their covers, in an album mailer. If you want them shipped outside of the cover, please let me know.
- I try to follow the Goldmine record grading scale as best I can. I list all obvious defects I can see.
Here's what you can expect from the sound. - NEAR MINT -Like new, no obvious signs of wear or defects, all inserts present. As good as you'll find anywhere.
- VERY GOOD PLUS or EXCELLENT - Has been played, but handled carefully. Can show some light wear that shouldn't affect the sound, like very light scuffs or scratches.
- VERY GOOD - Surface wear more pronounced and may be heard, but not overwhelming. Expect some surface noise.
- GOOD -Surface noise more pronounced, but album should play through without any skips.
- POOR or FAIR - Average thrift store quality.
- BIDDERS FROM OUTSIDE THE U.S. -I prefer payment by Paypal for bidders out of the USA, but will accept Money Orders as long as payment is received within 7 days. If this is not acceptable to you then please do not bid.
- Payment is due within 7 business days of auction's end. Personal checks, money orders, BidPay and Paypal are accepted.
- Buyer pays S+H. When possible, multiple wins will be combined to reduce shipping costs. Shipping goes out on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday via the USPS. UPS is also available upon request.
