Description

I will be listing some rare jazz and blues records from single collection over the next few weeks. Look out for my other listings of vintage Blue Note, Riverside, Contemporary, Pacific Jazz, Prestige, Savoy, Verve, Impulse, etc.
Miles Davis Quintet  Relaxin'  (Prestige 7129)  This early US Prestige deep groove RVG pressing is one of my best sounding records, and is a joy, but side one does have moments of noise and pops scattered throughout, hence the grade.   Side 2 is easy VG+, with minimal noiseSuch sound though.  One of Rudy Van Gelder's finest recordings.   It's THE quintet, so what can you say?  Coltrane, Garland, Chambers and Philly Joe- Jazz's greatest.
Record grade: VG/VG+  Glossy vinyl, with a scattering of small scratches.  A few parts on side one will have some repetitive light pops, but at least 95% of this record will provide clean beautiful fidelity at VG+ level.
Cover notes: Standard early album jacket, thick sturdy and shiny, dimpled board, with a little line of raised laminate as shown in photos.  Otherwise, clean with tight seams all around.

Record grading: M  (Mint): This record will be unplayed, and typically unopened unless otherwise noted. NM (Near Mint): This record will have little to no signs of handling or play. EXC (Excellent): This record will have very few visual imperfections that will have little to no affect on sound.  VG+  (Very Good plus): This record will have few visual imperfections with minor affect on sound.  VG (Very Good): The record will have visual imperfections resulting in light surface noise and/or background noise.  VG-  (Very Good minus): The record will have will have numerous visual imperfections resulting in surface noise and/or background noise. G  (Good): The record will have heavy wear, with very apparent surface and background noise.  A plus or minus may be given, if notable.
Cover grade:   No grade is provided.  Refer to notes and photos for details.
