Description

Miles Davis "The Complete Bitches Brew Sessions" Mosaic MQ6-183. 6LP Boxset No. 0329! Complete with all 6 LP's that show virtually no sign of play. These LP's have been inspected very carefully and  2 sides grade VG++ and 10 Sides grade NM, All else is virtually flawless. The outer box is rated VG+ to the spine has been taped for reinforcement with clear tape.(Bad box design for a 6 LP box.)The booklet is NM.If you're not familiar with this Artist or this release, here's some additional information: "Mosaic, a mail-order company, has compiled a series of remarkable box sets that feature the complete recordings of various immortal musicians at the peak of their careers. This limited-edition six-LP set includes all the music from the original 1970 double-album Bitches Brew plus over two additional hours of music from the six-month period during which the album was recorded. (Some of those tracks were previously released on compilations like Big Fun and Circle in the Round, but almost one-third of the material lay unissued until this release.) The music is simply fabulous — the simultaneous birth and peak of jazz-rock/fusion, with a host of major players (John McLaughlin, Chick Corea, Joe Zawinul, Wayne Shorter, Jack DeJohnette) and many innovations ... Though the unreleased selections are distinctly inferior to those released on Bitches Brew, "Yaphet," "Corrado," and "Trevere" are intriguing jam sessions that reveal much about the creative process between Davis and producer Teo Macero during recording. Unlike Columbia's previous sets in the series (one treating Miles' period of collaboration with Gil Evans and one featuring the music of his second classic quintet), the Bitches Brew sessions lend themselves well to a box set of this type — presenting the music in chronological order does no harm to original LP configurations as it did on previous sets, and the music here is another glowing testament to Miles' importance to the development of jazz in 1969, as in 1949". With Original poly inner sleeves. The box and booklet are very nice with only the hint of wear at the spine.. STUNNING!! Good Luck finding another copy of this box set in this condition!!. A look at past sales of this set reveals prices from 165-420! (With the lower numbered sets selling for higher prices)I'm giving a big discount for the spine damage to the outer box,and completely discounting the very low numbered booklet.I will ship this set Internationally in a double boxed shipping container,Please request a price quote before clicking the BUY IT NOW button.Have a nice big batch of all type music that I recently acquired from an audiophile. All discs in this collection have been closely inspected.

                                                            Have A Great Day!!!

On Jul-22-11 at 13:40:16 PDT, seller added the following information:

The 2 sides graded VG++ were inspected under a magnified light, and then the areas in question were played.

Record 3 Side B
has what appears to be a factory bump in the playing surface. It is approx 1/4" in lencth and covers about 5 revs.  I stopped the table and ran the stylus back and forth over mark and heard what sounded like a soft whoosh sound.  When this was playing I could not hear anything. This is mostly a visual mark that occurs during  a high energy part. The mark is in in the track "Yaphet".

Record 4 Side A During the track "Corrado" has a wispy sleeve mark approx 1 1/2" that does not play, and can not be felt. The play is MINT

All other 10 sides are NM as new. I started test playing them and decided it wasn't worth the effort as I didn't hear any crackle or ticks and pops..
