Description
Mike Waggoner & Bops, "Basher #5" b/w "Baby Baby" (Vee #KB-2311) Rare and terrific rockabilly 45 on the tiny Vee label of Minneapolis. Both sides red hot! Also ID-'ed as VE-7002 on the label. There's silver ink writing on the label of the "Baby Baby" side -- see my scan. The "Basher #5" side has what appears to be the initial "M" written in red ink. "KB 2311-A" is etched in the trail off wax of "Basher #5" and "KB2311-B" is etched in the trail off wax of "Baby Baby". The vinyl looks rough, with scuffs -- it looks G+ or VG- at best. But the happy surprise is that it plays a lot better -- sounds VG+ (or better!). Strict grading. I recently purchased a sizable collection of 45s, with lots of good country and early rock 'n' roll gems, several stacks of wax, and this is easily the hottest item I've found.
