Metallica Ride The Lightning VERY RARE Music For Nations & Misprint, Please Read.
This is a very rare 12” vinyl of Ride The Lightening by Metallica.
What makes this one so rare….
Firstly, as you can see, this pressing is on the Music For Nations label. It was available for just 2 months on MFN before Metallica signed a massive deal with Vertigo. All copies after that time were in the vertigo label.
The second thing is the original merchandise leaflet inside. I’ve personally not seen one of these anywhere else, I guess the Metallica fans back in the day wanted to order their T-shirt!
The third thing is a misprint on the side one of disc one, as it’s printed as Kill Em All, but does play Ride The Lightning.
Now for the downsides. The sleeve shows some sign of wear. I guess a 37 year old vinyl would show some wear. The other is a mark on side one of the vinyl. I’ve tried to take a photo of it the best I can. It’s roughly an inch in length and on the outer edge of the disc. I genuinely have no idea where this came from.
Weighing up the pros and cons, I’m sure you’ll agree it’s a very rare piece of Metallica history. I’m genuinely gutted to be parting ways with it.
