Mercyful Fate - The Beginning - 1987 - Original Pressing on Roadrunner Records with hype sticker on sleeve, (RR 9603).
A classic compilation from Mercyful Fate and the almighty, King Diamond. Featuring some of their early performances from the pre - Melissa period and ‘The Friday Rock Show’ sessions recorded at the BBC in 1983. Classic and heavily influential Danish metal that paved the way for the many bands that followed. Hard to find these days!
The album cover is in VG condition. It does have quite a few creases to the spine and shows signs of storage wear to the top and bottom seams. Rear of the sleeve has some light wear and fingerprints that could easily be removed. There are no rips, seam splits, tears or writing to be found.
The inner sleeve is in VG+ condition. There is some discolouration and wear with fingerprint marks located on the rear part of it. No rips, seam splits, tears or writing to be found.
The record is in VG+ condition. It still has a beautiful lustre, no warping, both labels are bright, clean and free of writing, however under strong lighting, there is quite a few spindle marks around the spindle hole on Side One.
On close inspection, I have noticed some signs of use, very light marks and scuffs to the surfaces, nothing too severe that would detract from you from being able to enjoy this album. The record has been professionally by myself on a Pro-Ject VC-S2 ALU record cleaning machine and comes supplied with a polypropylene outer sleeve for the album cover and a Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab inner sleeve for protection of the record. These sleeves are favoured among audiophiles and collectors alike for long term preservation of vinyl albums.
This package will be sent by Royal Mail. The type of delivery method is: Royal Mail Tracked 24. It will come to a total of £3.99. It is imperative for not just me, but the buyer to have a delivery service with tracking, so we can both make sure the record arrives promptly and safely. It is a small price to pay to avoid any major upset about a missing package.
I will be using a strong mailer with stiffeners and a fragile sticker to ensure that everything is safe and secure before dispatch. The record will be removed from its sleeve and placed behind it to avoid any potential seam splits during transit. This all comes free of charge.
