Meet The Beatles Rare Stereo NO BMI / ASCAP Has #3 RIAA

This is probably the rarest version of this album! I found this album in my collection and started researching it a month ago. I purchased this album new and probably have played it less than 15 times. As near as I can tell this album has all 3 things that make it the rarest version of a genuine first pressing album. In the last 2 months I've only seen 2 of these up for auction. So if my research is right than this is a very very rare find.

1. The cover has the beatles portraits with the light blue tint. It has a number 3 on the back side of the cover in the lower right hand corner next to the RIAA symbol. There are no credits listed after the songs (BMI or ASCAP). There is no George Martin credit shown on the cover.

2. The record itself does not does not show the BMI or ASCAP credits on the label. It has the small triangle with IAM in the Dead Wax area (Just outside the perimeter of the label).

3. The sleeve is the original dark blue ( not the bright blue or aqua). It has the number 12-TC-1 printed in the lower left corner of the sleeve.

My research has found 3 web sites that verify this is the rarest version of this album. So if you're really interested in beatle record information then I suggest you visit all three of these.

Now for the condition of this album. I do not consider myself an audiophile so I have adopted a rating system that I find other sellers using and have listed it below. I have personally played both sides of this record and found nothing wrong with any of the tracks. It plays like it was intended to. Please contact me if you have any questions about these records BEFORE you bid.

The cover is in excellent shape. No marks-No tears-No splits-No tape. Opening of the cover shows some very slight wear. The only other thing this cover shows is some slight aging (Very light discoloration over the whole Cover both front and back) other than that it is in perfect condition.

I grade the Record as being as being between a VG++ and VG+. There are just some very light marks nothing that could possibly effect the quality of the audio from this record. Both sides are about in the same condition. The labels show no wear and spindle holes looks like new. The photos of the labels show a white ring on both labels. This is a reflection of a concentric circle NOT a wear mark.

The Inner Sleeve is the orginal dark blue sleeve marked in the lower left corner with 12-TC-1. It is in perfect condition. It does show some aging.

This is the rating system I use.

MINT= Absolutely perfect in every way, possibly still sealed or in orginal plastic wrap.

VG++= record surfaces may have signs that it was rarely played or handled by a previous owner that took extremely good care of it. Record surfaces may show very minimal amount of surface scratching that does not affect audio quality.

VG+= record shows sign that it was played but handled by a previous owner. Record surfaces may show signs of wear or may have scuffs and/or scratches but do not affect the audio quality.

VG= surface noise may be evident upon playing, but will not overpower the music. Light scratching will be noticeable that might or will affect the sound. Many times, the record will play through with no skipping or minimal skipping.

Good= Records in this category still hold their value as it can be put onto a turntable and played through without skipping. But it will have significant surface noise and scratches and visible groove wear.

Fair= Record has visible groove wear, scratches and scuffs with audible surface noise or popping and skipping
