Description
Acid Archives: "Long (50 Minutes) and ambitious heavy psych/prog record with a suite-like structure is full of ideas. Quality riffs and melodies are scattered throughout, and the vocal arrangements, which borrow from everything from soft rock to the Beatles to SF Sorrow-styled psychedelia, are a cut above the majority of hardrock from the era. The heaviness usually takes a back seat to the songwritting and ever-changing song structures. No mindless /tedious improvisational soloing." There are some excellent Hendrix-like lead guitar work in the songs: Johnny & Glance at the Past. Band was from Baltimore founded by Paul Welsh & Dennis Tobell, Tobell was a member of The Barbarians. All the songs were written or co-written by Tobell. Note: Any shadows, or glare, you see on the covers or discs ARE NOT DEFECTS, all Pics are taken outdoors.
Condition - Cover: VG-, The previous owner felt the need to write all over the cover front & back (Name twice on the front & once on the back in ink), also he wrote notes on the back, & wrote a # (603) in Black magic marker on the front & back. (Some People!!) Also some wear to bottom seam, and a chip (1/2") is starting to come off the top seam.
Condition - Labels: He strikes again! Name & # written on both Labels.
Condition - Vinyl: Excellent ( I'll say one thing about the guy, he took good care of his vinyl)
Label: Colossus CS-1007 Stereo
Year: 1971
