Description

Up for auction is the rare out-of-print 14-LP Box Set  of "The Complete Roulette Recordings Of The Maynard Ferguson Orchestra" on Mosaic (MQ14-156). THE BOX SET IS OPEN WITH ALL CONTENTS COMPLETE. This is numbered 2969 of a Limited Edition of 5000. Each record was played only once on an Ariston turntable fitted with a calibrated Grado cartridge that I recorded to minidisc. Recorded: 6 May 1958 - March 1962. Personnel includes: Slide Hampton, Don Sebesky, Jimmy Ford, Willie Maiden, John Bunch, Don Ellis, Joe Zawinul, Bill Byers, Jaki Byard, Joe Farrell, Rolf Ericson and Don Menza. There are 141 tracks including 12 previously unissued. Drawn mainly from the following albums: Swingin' My Way Through College / A Message From Newport / A Message From Birdland / Plays Jazz For Dancing / Newport Suite / Let's Face The Music And Dance / Maynard '61 / Straight Away / Maynard '62 / Si! Si! M.F. / Maynard '63 / Message From Maynard / Maynard '64 / The World Of Maynard Ferguson.  ALL 14 LPS ARE IN MINT CONDITION WITH CLEAN LABELS. THE VINYL IS STORED IN AUDIOPHILE INNER SLEEVES. THE OUTER BOX IS IN EX CONDITION WTIH ETREMELY LIGHT SHELF WEAR. THE BOOKLET IS NEAR MINT.   I accept paypal, money order/cashier checks and personal checks.
