Description
Mary Wells: Bye Bye Baby LP
Scarce first UK mono pressing in front-laminated flipback sleeve
1963 Oriole PS40051 mono
Sleeve in VG+ condition; quite clean, one tiny penmark on reverse
Disc in VG condition, comparatively good original vinyl lustre although there are a number of (mainly light) marks. There are, however, no really serious faults other than two small but very ticky scratches which affect the first track of Side 1. The remainder of the record plays with mainly mild surface noise in places.
A fairly acceptable copy of this rare and sought-after record. In retrospect, I may well be grading this rather more conservatively than others might, but I try to be honest and realistic in my asessment.
Condition Grading of Vinyl Records
I am somewhat conservative in the condition-grading of records because, due to the high volume of items handled, it is impossible for me to test-play every record. All records are subject to detailed visual scrutiny after professional cleaning; more valuable items are usually test-played. Please see my Returns Policy for details of my no-quibble money-back guarantee which is applicable in the rare event of dissatisfaction, for whatever reason.
I use the basics of Record Collector's Rare Record Prices Guide grading as the the system employed in the condition-grading of vinyl records offered for auction
