Mal Waldron The Quest LP New Jazz NJLP8269 Original 1962 Mono RARE RVG Dolphy Ervin
Vinyl: VG vinyl has some scuffs, hairlines, needle marks. Nothing super deep. Plays with some light rustle / crackle (drowned out during most sections with drums / sax and is louder during light sections like just bass / piano). S1 T3 has a buried repeating tic that clears. S2 T3 has a repeating tic that is more noticeable (also clears eventually). No jumps or skips. Certainly not mint, but a pretty solid VG and nice play copy of a super rare jazz original!
Jacket: VG Original textured sleeve. Shelf / age wear, couple stamps on back, “1.98” written in black on front image to left of Waldron’s head. Top seam has a few light dings, but no split. Bottom seam has a center split just barley forming (an inch or less and not totally through). Spine looks / reads well and has a split on bottom by corner (about 1.5-2 inches). Some issues, but still a very nice jacket!
