Description
Released in 1962!! This mono Brunswick LP contains music samples composed for and played by an IBM7090. If you have ever tried to program one of these beasts you will know what a feat this must have been. Main composer is J R Pierce, well known in this avant guard sphere. Disc is near mint. sleeve is VG+ A light crease front - slightly lifting the laminate. Rear has yellowed a little, but the informative sleeve notes are complete and legible. A name is written top left, and a small annotation is written in the margin, a minor scuff rear base of sleeve does not affect the text. Apparently this disc has become something ofa legend in its own metronometime, and has been sampled on the club circuit. I just see it as an an extremely early expeirmental piece that would suit any collector of the avantguard. Note should also be made of the rather ahead of its time sleeve design.
