Classic and unique masterpiece of afro- and spiritual-jazz plus groove/funk-elements plus poetry and more.Killer line-up and tracks.One of the best of it’s kind and highly recommended!

Condition:both records look and play “as new”,(more mint than) mint-.I got this copy from a guy who was a fusion amateur-drummer in the 70ies,he told me he bought it new in 1976 because of Billy Hart/drums,he had liked his playing on the 1974 ECM record by Bennie Maupin/The Jewel In The Lotus.He remembers that he didn’t like the Alkebu-album at all and listened to it only once and incompletely.

The ultra-heavy cardoard-gatefoldcover is impossible to be found in real mint,but this one is pretty fine:there’s only slight ring- and cornerwear,the top-seams and the spine are intact with just slightest rub,the bottom-spines have a little more rub and they have a split at the opening-sides of ca.1 inch(the cover is still tight in these spots,you have to manipulate to see the splits!),the inner of the foc is very close to mint-,there’s the name of the pre-owner written with a thin pencil on 2 of the 4 labels and inside the opening(where the second record is stored,not to be seen from the outside).Pl.see all pictures,if you are a collector of Strata-East you’ll probably know how worn covers often are,I grade this one overall ex++.

Grading:these used records have been cleaned on a prof. cleaning machine.After that I playgraded them on a Rega Planar 9 with a Rega Super Elys moving magnet system and I also visually graded the records under a strong light.I give you a detailed description of both gradings.Only an unplayed record is mint,the highest grading for a used record is mint-! My basic gradings are:mint-ex-vg.As a free service,cleaned records are stored in a brandnew deluxe innersleeve and the cover will be placed in a brandnew PVC protection-sleeve!
