The Moving Finger (Second Hand): "Reality" 1968, UK/Polydor 583045. Disc is in perfect M- shape! Cover has minimal wear, unlike most copies seen today... this cover wears so easily that many dealers will try to convince you that the cover was sold new with ringwear! LOL; that is some real entrepreneurial spirit. No, they didn't come new with worn covers! If they're worn, they were treated carelessly. Here's a really clean example; check the pics! This band (The Moving Finger) learned about another UK outfit using that name during the manufacture of this LP. The pressing was already underway but the entire project had to be put on hold, as a new cover needed to be designed and new labels needed to be printed. They decided on "Second Hand" as their new moniker. An unknown number of discs with the "Moving Finger" labels were already finished and were inserted into the "Second Hand" covers which followed, while the remainder of the covers were outfitted with the second-press "Second Hand" discs. And make no mistake; the "Second Hand" discs more commonly seen are indeed repressings... new stampers were manufactured to press the Second Hand version, so this original Moving Finger version could actually have a different mix! This LP is quite a monster; it's very heavy and avant-garde for 1968 and despite the delay caused by the hiccup in manufacturing which kept it from hitting the shops until 1969, it still must have sounded totally futuristic to anyone that dared buy a copy. It pre-dated In The Court Of The Crimson King by more than six months! It's hard to put into words just how flipped-out this LP is, so dive into the sounds on YouTube and decide for yourself. I ship all records in strong cardboard mailers with cardboard flats added to increase stability. The discs are always removed from the jackets to prevent seam splits, and all albums are dressed in plastic sleeves for travel. Please be aware that these supplies are expensive to purchase and may represent a small portion of my shipping charges. I pack/ship one day per week, usually it is Friday.

Most of my customers prefer Media Mail because it is very cheap. Please keep in mind that it's cheap because it is SLOW. I have had Media Mail boxes take two months to travel cross-country.
