“Up And Down The Hill” b/w “Get Away From Here”
Released on King Records 6135 in November of 1967 this obscure record has taken on Legendary Status in the world of Soul Collectors.
To illustrate the wide breadth that was King Records at the time, this record falls just after a James Brown release and just before Bobby Curtola and Ralph Stanley. Soul, Teener and a Bluegrass Country. What a label.
This copy is Mint Minus still in the original sleeve. It was sold as a cutout sometime in it’s life as indicated by the two bb holes in the label.
I was unable to find any bio information on the group and this appears to be their only release on King. But what a release it was. Listen to a bit of both sides by clicking on the link below.
