Rødhåd’s debut album ‘Anxious’ sees the artist step away from the dancefloor and further develop the narrative qualities of his beautiful soundscapes. It was the natural next step to present the sound he began cultivating with his recent EPs “Kinder der Ringwelt” and “Söhne der Erde” as a full length LP. The experience the album is trying to convey is being thrown into a world that is ready to crush you.They have you with your back to the wall, and you are ready to give way to despair.Will you be able fight back? How is it even possible? 

Rødhåd is the spearhead of a new generation of techno producers and DJs. With his bass heavy grooves and dubby atmospheric soundscapes he is a sonic guide, knowing exactly where he wants to take the crowd, leading through the inexhaustible sounds of techno music in all its beauty and gloom. He fully immerses himself into the music, yet never loses himself. 

Growing up in Berlin’s rougher outskirts, as a teenager he was able to grasp the final flashings of Berlin’s mythical nightlife of the 1990s at legendary places Casino and Ostgut. In the late 2000s the Dystopian crew began their own series of parties and then the label with two seminal releases by Rødhåd, “1984” and “Blindness”. 

The album begins with a series of pulsing sounds as 'Unleash’ lures the listener into Rødhåd ?s sonic universe. Hearing indistinct sounds and rotating helicopter blades imply an uncertainty about where this journey will go to. Clearly aware of an oncoming adventure, the excitement of discovering an alien world sets in.The eerie melodies and the subtle staccato grooves of ‘Withheld Walk’ pulls its audience even further into an infusible mix of curiosity and fear. With ‘Escape’ the bass drum finally sets in, but against all odds does not tune into a clubby energy. Remaining restrained and imaginative, the ghostly melodies of the ‘Brief Respite’ sound like the voices of creatures from another planet. ‘Awash’ features a beautiful, yearning flute and out-of-tune strings wrestle with subdued breakbeats and a heavy bassline. ‘Glimmer Of Light’ then sets an uncanny key, moving the dark beauty of 80s electro into the rich and subtle electronic palette of the present. In ‘Target Line’, Rødhåd ?s collaboration with Vril, the simmering synth-track breaks away when they least expect it, setting the stage for the climax of the album.An Amen break tears itself loose in ‘Burst’and gets lost in an echo.Rødhåd breaks away from the story at its high point.With the quiet and majestic techno grooves of ‘Left Behind’ the turmoil is over. Finally, last track ‘Cast A Shadow’ expresses relief and quiet, giving them a chance to reflect on their mind-boggling journey. 

And just moments later, thrilling adventures turn into distant memories.

ZUSTANDSBESCHREIBUNGEN:

ZUSTAND VINYL: NEU/MINT

ZUSTAND COVER: ORIGINAL PICTURE COVER!!! - NEU/MINT

HIER DIE GENAUEN HINWEISE ZU DEN ABKÜRZUNGEN BEIM ZUSTAND:

Mint (M): Absolut perfekt - wurde niemals ! abgespielt und ist möglicherweise noch versiegelt (mehr zu versiegelten Platten unten).Wir bewerten nie gebrauchte Lp's mit Mint - höchstens Mint- (Near Mint) 

Near Mint (NM;M-): Eine fast perfekte Schallplatte. Die Schallplatte zeigt keinerlei Gebrauchsspuren. Eine Single Hülle darf wirklich nur minimalste Gebrauchsspuren haben und eine Lp Hülle darf keine abgestossenen Ecken, Falten oder ähnliche Mängel vorweisen. Plattencover mit cut-out Löchern gibt es hier ebenfalls nicht. Gleiches gilt für Beilagen wie Poster, Textblätter oder ähnliches. Im Prinzip soll eine Near Mint Schallplatte aussehen als ob sie gerade neu im Plattenladen gekauft wurde und zuhause die Folie entfernt wurde. 

Very Good+ (VG+): Hat erkennbare Gebrauchspuren, wurde aber vom Vorbesitzer gut gepflegt. Die Plattenoberfläche kann minimale Abnutzungserscheinungen (durch Abspielen), die aber den Hörgenuss nicht beeinträchtigen, vorweisen. Leichte Wölbungen die das Abspielen nicht beeinträchtigen sind in Ordnung. Das Label darf leichte (nicht wirklich auffällige) Verfärbungen haben. Das Mittelloch sollte nicht geweitet sein. Single-Bild-Hüllen und Lp-Innenhüllen dürfen leichte Gebrauchsspuren haben. Lp Album-Hüllen dürfen leichte Gebrauchspuren haben und auch ein cut-out Loch ist vertretbar. Im grossen und ganzen, ist eine very good+ Schallplatte für fast alle Sammler ein sehr guter und sammlungswürdiger Zustand. 

Very Good (VG): Viele der Mängel einer VG+ Platte, treten hier verstärkt auf. Leichtes Rauschen kann beim Abspielen auftreten, besonders in ruhigen Passagen und während des Intros, welches die Musik aber nicht 'überpowert'. Leichte Rillenabnutzung kann vorhanden sein ebenso wie leichte Kratzer (welche man mit dem Fingernagel spüren kann) die man auch beim Abspielen hören kann. Auf den Labels können Mängel wie Aufkleber oder Beschriftungen auftauchen. Das gleiche gilt auch für LP Albumcover und auch Single Picturehüllen. Wie auch immer die Schallplatte kann 2 oder 3 dieser Mängel haben, nicht aber alle! 

Good (G): Good heisst nicht 'schlecht'! Eine Platte im Zustand Good wird ohne hängenzubleiben durchlaufen, aber Sie wird beträchtliches Rauschen haben, einige Kratzer und deutlich sichtbare Abnutzungserscheinungen. Album Cover und Single Picturehüllen sind aufgestossen und haben geknickte Ecken. Aufkleber, Beschriftungen und ähnliches breiten sich auf demselbigen aus. Wenn es nicht wirklich rar ist, wartet man lieber auf einen besseren Zustand - wenn man aber schon ewig danach sucht und der Preis stimmt sollte man die Chance nutzen. 

Poor (P), Fair (F): Die Platte ist voller Kratzer, ziemlich verbogen, und wird nicht durchlaufen ohne hängen zu bleiben. Das Album Cover hat Wasserschaden, alle Kanten sind durchstossen und ist voll von Gekritzel und Aufklebern. Nicht sammelwürdig, ausser es handelt sich um absolute Top Raritäten! 

Still Sealed (SS): Bei versiegelten Lp's muss darauf hingewiesen werden, dass viele Lp's nachträglich wiederversiegelt (resealed) worden sind. Natürlich gibt es immer noch original versiegelte Lp's aus den 60er Jahren, aber der einzige Weg dass herauszufinden ist die Lp zu öffnen, da oftmals auch Nachpressungen in Originalcovern stecken.
