We have a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 2/3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers.
We mail all paid orders out once a week on Fridays/Saturdays. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule to Monday. We strive to keep our shipping and handling costs as close to actual charges as reasonable. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. Please be aware we have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.

HARD TO FIND -- Original 1966 first pressing of the RARE "ROBBS" album ...these cats were regularly featured on "Where The Action Is" & "Happening '68" ...a popular garage band with a strong sound...
Includes scarce original Mercury Records printed inner sleeve
Here, in glorious MONO (the big beat boost in the monophonic sound production) Very hard to find in ANY condition, this is a special well cared for original from 42+ years ago...
Originally formed in Wisconsin, the Robbs landed a spot as Dick Clark's house band for "Where the Action Is" and a contract with Mercury. Their singles added up to this 1967 album, supplemented by a pair of non-single tracks, and touched #200 on the Billboard LP chart for but a single week. This release then disappeared (except, perhaps, the teens who had the pleasure to dance to The Robbs at Midwest shows).
Though the band created a few superb songs, including the sunshine-harmony of "Violets of Dawn," the polished garage poprock of "Bittersweet," and a Byrds-styled rock arrangement of the chilling folk "Jolly Miller," their seven originals are perhaps even better. The rolling drums of "Cynthia Loves" bring to mind a melody and sunshine harmonies that are perfect for aq groovy California beach party scene. "Rapid Transit" borrows the vocal stutter from The Five Americans' "Westurn Union" to fine effect, and a Revolver-era backwards guitar permeates "Next Time You See Me." Whether or not The Robbs created these innovations, they played them out for all they were worth.
It's truly unfortunate that the Mercury label was never able to translate the band's regional success into a national breakthrough. Doubly surprising given their exposure on "Where the Action Is" and in teen magazines. This is an all-too-short audio diary of a band who deserved greater exposure in their time.

CONDITION: The cover is solid all over...VG++ with a bit of light shelf wear, very minor and understandabler when talking 45 years ago = should be a very acceptable collection item. No split seams, no bends, no writing. There is a small Mercury Records promotional stamp on back cover.
The vinyl is VG++ having no more than shallow finger nail type hair scuffs, no audio problem, play graded excellent, clean. The Mercury labels are both clean
keeper copy!
