From 1979, comes Molly Hatchet with their promo box set of two LPs on Columbia AS528 DJ white label promo. One of the LPs is Molly Hatchet Live and the other one is Molly Hatchet, their first album. The lyric sleeve from the first album is included. This box set was promo only! It also includes a rare personalized letter from Pat Armstrong of Pat Armstrong & Associates, who had discovered the group originally and was their manager. In the letter, which was sent to Charlie Brusco of High Tides Management, he states that he was sending this copy of the box set to Charlie to thank him since The Outlaws (another rock group) and Molly Hatchet seemed to enjoy working together. He again thanks Charlie for the opportunity to open for The Outlaws. It is signed by Mr. Armstrong.The letter is on Pat Armstrong & Associates stationary and bears the watermark of Correct Bond. A terrific Molly Hatchet item with an impeccable provenance and an outstanding letter from their manager, actually giving this set to another manager as a thank you gift! Extremely rare! You will never see another copy like this again! Molly Hatchet is a hard Southern rock group.

ALL RECORDS GRADED VISUALLY WITH 150 WATT BULB AND THIRTY FOUR YEARS OF EXPERIENCE!!
MY GRADING IS FOLLOWS: MINT MINUS=AS CLOSE TO NEW AS CAN POSSIBLY BE, AFTER BEING TOUCHED BY HUMAN HANDS.
VG++= LOTS OF PLAY IS LEFT, NO MARKS, SCUFFS OR SCRATCHES. LOOKS TO HAVE BEEN PLAYED VERY LITTLE.
VG+ = SHOWS SOME SIGNS OF BEING PLAYED, BUT STILL IS A QUALITY PLAY. MAY HAVE SOME LIGHT MARKS.
I WILL NOTE ALL FLAWS BEFORE I GIVE THE GRADING. IF THERE ARE NO FLAWS LISTED, THAT MEANS THE RECORD IS EITHER MINT MINUS OR STILL SEALED! OLDER RECORDS DO NOT SOUND LIKE NEW RECORDS, AS RECORDS ARE MADE OUT OF MANY DIFFERENT TYPES OF VINYL AND VINYL SUBSTITUTES AND MOST OF THEM WERE NOT PRESSED ON 100% VIRGIN VINYL!. IF YOU WANT A RECORD THAT SOUNDS LIKE A 180 GRAM RECORD, THEN BUY A 180 GRAM RECORD. THE OLDER RECORDS ARE A LOWER DENSITY AND ARE 90 TO 110 GRAMS, THEREFORE THEY CANNOT SOUND THE SAME AS NEW ONES!
FLAWS: Tiny bit of white upper right corner and lower left corner of slick on the front of the box.
GRADE: Box is VG++ and the records are MINT MINUS!!
