MOJO MEN My Bad News Baby 1966 ACETATE RARE GARAGE ROCK Shipping Info  |  SALES THEME   Description THE MOJO MEN "MY BAD NEWS BABY" Autumn Records One-Sided 8-inch 45 RPM ACETATE DISC Recorded at GOLDEN STATE RECORDERS in San Francisco, CA. It has a handwritten label. Under the title "SHE'S MY BABY" is scratched out the ORIGINAL title "BAD NEWS BABY"! This shows the song was already in transition to the issued title, but they had not yet re-written the song! This Rare acetate is in EXCELLENT condition! Plays FANTASTIC NEAR MINT sound! It is a MONO recording with an approximate 3:10 running time.

"She's My Baby" was issued on Autumn Records No. 27 in 1966! How can you take a recognized GARAGE BAND MASTERPIECE and improve on it? Find a version that is slower, sounds better and has a different set of lyrics!!!

THE SOUND: This disc sounds absolutely FANTASTIC! The gnarly fuzz guitar is right in your face. There is better instrument and vocal seperation and definition in this mix. The sound is exceptionally clear, crisp and sharp. There is no getting over the feeling that you are right there in the studio with the band. It beats the sound of the original Autumn single hands down!

THIS VERSION: It is played slightly slower which gives it a grittier sound. It sounds even rawer and rougher than the original. The arrangement remains about the same. HOWEVER, this early version has a DIFFERENT SET OF LYRICS:
