Grading System

(M) Mint – Sealed record that was never played or opened. Perfect condition. This grade is used sparingly.

(NM) Near Mint – Record shows no signs of wear and is nearly perfect. Vinyl has no scratches, looks brand new and/or unplayed. NM promos, though not sealed, have never been played.

(VG+) Very Good Plus – Record shows some signs that it was played and otherwise handled with care, by it’s previous owner(s). It is almost NM. Vinyl surface may show some slight signs of wear and may have has some very light surface marks, but nothing that affects play. A common grade for a used record nowadays.

(VG) Very Good – Similar description to VG+ record (above) though many of the defects found in a VG+ record will be slightly more pronounced on a VG record. Still plays perfectly fine. If label has a sticker or writing it is automatically given this grade and you will be notified of this in the item description.

(G+) Good Plus- Some minor scratches (1 or 2 at most) and wear will be noticeable with this grade but will not affect play at all.

(G) Good - Scratches and wear are very evident on the vinyl, but does not affect play at all.

(F) Fair – Noticeable scratches, wear, and heavy play is evident. DJ’s sometimes refer to this condition as “hammered”, though the record still plays. May also have highly audible surface noise. Can be used for dj’s and turntablists that “cut” and “scratch”.
