Rare Original 1963 (early) Pressing of 'With The Beatles' with Misprints.
The Beatles - 'With The Beatles' - 1963 - Stereo - Parlophone - PCS3045 "You Really Gotta Hold on Me" Misprint Copy.
Details from Discogs Listing:
- - This entry is a first pressing variant.
- - Front cover has rare large font Stereo in the top right hand corner.
- - The sleeve is printed by Ernest J Day & Co Ltd.
- - Rim text starts with "The Parlophone Co. Ltd."
- - The label DOES have "KT" embossed on one side, "Recording first published 1963", but NOT "Sold in the U.K..." statements.
- - Side 2: Label incorrectly lists track 3 as "You Really Gotta Hold on Me".
- - Side 2: The publishing credit for "Money" says "Jobete"
- - Later pressings have details differing to the above stated.
- - The sleeve text is printed in a finer font compared to the Garrod sleeve, the only difference in content appears to be- Track 3 is listed as- "You Really Got A Hold on Me" (Not "You Really Gotta Hold on Me").
- - The written-by credit for track B7 is Bradford-Gordy (not Gordy Bradford).
- - This release also has a 2 minutes 38 seconds version of track B1 "Roll Over Beathoven", which features very loud clapping.
Condition
Side A = VG- (Many hairline scratches. Plays with feint background crackle, more noticeable in quieter parts/tracks. Side B = VG (Many hairline scratches. Plays with less backfround noise than side A).
I have played this record throughout & the are no skips/jumps.
Sleeve - G (Intact but some damage to horizontal flaps on the wrap around cover)
Non original inner.
