MILES DAVIS “Miles Davis, Volume 1” RVG, Blue Note BLP 1501 Mono Vinyl

This is “RVG” stamped pressing of MILES DAVIS’ “Miles Davis, Volume 1” on the "New York USA” labels of Blue Note BLP 1501. Musicians include Miles Davis – trumpet, J. J. Johnson – trombone, Jackie McLean - alto saxophone, Gil Coggins – piano, Oscar Pettiford – bass, Kenny Clarke – drums.

VINYL plays with consistent low-level surface noise (i.e, crackle, static, ?? or ????, relative to the volume of the music/instruments), with occasional pops and ticks. Groovewear present in spots but overwhelmed by loud dynamics of the music. No distortion. Excellent gloss. Super clean surface a few non feelable hairline marks. (If you can’t feel it, you won’t hear it). The “New York USA” labels are clean, with spindle wear. See photos.

COVER is in good shape. Some aging and ringwear. Small stain. Corners worn. Seams and spine cracking, small split lower seam at opening. See photos. “BLUE NOTE RECORDS, 43 West 61st St., New York 23” back jacket shows wear, largely clean. Please see photos.

This LP was play-tested on a high-end audio system. RECORD CLEANED ON ULTRASONIC CLEANER.
