The Midwest Vs. The Rest - VERY RARE 60s compilation !!!!

Here a review from 1984 - Ron Rimsite / Originally published in Ugly Things #3, 1984

A new garage compilation, one side from the Midwest, the other various U.S. tracks. The Midwest cuts here save face for the shame caused by that crummy cassette of last year. Some real screamin' stuff. (Yeah! And those Unbelievable Uglies!!! - Mike Stax).

The flip, "The Rest," stands out with the ultra cool "Let The Winds Blow" by Chips & Co. which is fantabuloso - surf guitar, throbbing rhythm, and a singer who hasn't blown his nose in a month! There's also "Been Burnt" (Luke & the Apostles) and "The Bummer" (Lincoln St. Exit) following, both of which are getting released about as much as M.G. & The Escorts these days. On the whole though, lots of real interesting snot here to hold the interest of '66 fans.
