Gorgeous near mint condition mono copy of classical Capitol LP, "The Magic Bow", a collection of favorite short pieces of the solo violinist's repertory of composer Michael Rabin,  performed on this recording by The Hollywood Bowl Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Felix Slatkin. There is no pressing or release date on either the record or the jacket, but based on the record label design I would "guestimate" it is from the early 1960's.

Vinyl = NM.
Heavy vinyl in near mint condition. Vinyl has beautiful high gloss and only one or two faint, almost invisible sleeve scuffs (from taking it in and out of the inner sleeve).   
Black with rainbow outer band (logo on top) Capitol Records labels  - NO spindle trails. 

Jacket =NM-. Thick American-style brown back cardboard cover in near mint shape. Corners are nice and square,  just lightly bumped. All seams are intact with only one or two light wear areas near corners. Front laminated cover is beautiful with a few faint, almost invisible pressure marks. Back cover's white background looks great, with two tiny, tiny brownish "age" type dots near bottom, and a hint of LP rub extreme top only. Vintage "Valu-Mart Price" sticker with $2.99 price, still attached.

Grading:

We use Goldmine Record grading standards. Records and jackets/sleeves are visually graded under high intensity light, and all details noted are included in the item description. We strive to include complete, acurate condition and description information to the best of our ability.

Some records, especially rare ones or those with damage such as "feelies" (scratches deep enough to be felt with a fingernail), also will be listened to and receive a separate play grade. This assures that the vinyl neither "skips" (misses playing some of the grooves), "sticks" (plays the same groove over and over), or has excessive background noise. Any "tics" (clicking or popping sounds made when the record player needle moves over a scuff or scratch) or other surface noise, will be noted in the description. 

We generally do not sell any record that grades lower than VG-, unless it is exceptionally rare, or play grades higher than the visual grade. Goldmine states (and we concur) that: "... older LPs (1950 to about 1971) tend to play better than they look, and newer LPs (at least until 1989) tend to play worse than they look." In particular, we have found that older heavy weight "mono" vinyl usually can withstand considerable play and handling abuse with little or no compromise in fidelity or playability.
