Description

Here is a beautiful copy of I Robot by The Alan Parsons Project on a Mobile Fidelity Sound Labs MFSL-1-084 audiophile vinyl LP pressing. The jacket is a VG+ only due to some slight wear on the lower right edge and on the rear panel, not ring shape. There are no splits, ring wear, cuts, rips or tears. The LP is a super clean like new near mint with NO spindle marks and spotless vinyl surfaces. The LP plays a near mint minus, there is some very random ticks, not uncommon with these pressings as they do not dehorn their metal parts which may cause occasional burrs on the vinyl which will get quieter with repeated plays as the stylus acts as a polishing tool (this from the original paper supplied with these JVC pressings). Very quiet and enjoyable play through.

This was a minor breakthrough album for Parsons, at a time when most of the hit rock acts were Styx, Boston and Foreigner, those audiences were discovering this album through the single I Wouldn’t Want To Be Like You. Great light progressive/pop album, the second in Parsons’ catalog, is given the audiophile treatment by Mobile Fidelity Sound Labs, pressed on pure vinyl compound originally intended by design to be for quad four channel LP’s by JVC in Japan.
