Black Funeral [Demo Version] 2.56
Curse Of The Pharoahs - 3.53 This is much rawer than the final version on 'Melissa', impressive to say the least. After all, it is only a BBC session track, although not all BBC session tracks are AS impressive. This track is raw and in your face... Evil - 4.04 If you've read any review for 'Melissa', you'll see how much people actually love this song. Still, this version is way better. Rawer, heavier, more aggressive, with the same amount of catchiness that filled the studio one...perhapse even more of it here on the BBC sessions .
Curse of the Pharaohs - 4.28 Demo Version This is a raw extended version of this track. Shows the strength and power of early Mercyful Fate! a gem... A must have for the collector.. Black Funeral- 2.56 Demo Version This is personally one of my favorite Mercyful Fate tracks ever! This demo cut is heavy and raw. the power will not be missed! comes with limited numbered insert.
WHAT IS AN ACETATE??
An acetate disc (also known as a test acetate, dub plate, lacquer, or transcription disc) is a type of mechanical sound storage medium closely related to the gramophone record and its manufacturing process. Acetates are typically produced from a master tape recording. By electroplating the acetate master, stampers (special moulds) can be created, which in turn are used to press large quantities of records. Acetates are also used for testing the quality of the tape-to-disc transfer. A typical acetate disc is a disc, 10 or 12 inches in diameter, that is lacquer in which the sound groove is cut. Discs of this type can be played on any normal phonograph, .
Some acetates are highly prized for their rarity.
