Description
This is the original vinyl release of the Melvins' awesome album Lysol. Initial copies of this record had already been printed when the group was told by the makers of Lysol that they would not grant permission to use the name. So, the label covered the word "Lysol" with black tape on the front cover and black marker on the spine. The black tape on the cover of this copy has a little wear in the corner, but has never been removed (see photo). The black ink on the spine has almost completely faded (sorry for the blurry nature of the spine photo, but it's pretty difficult to get a good photo of something so small). This was a split release between Boner (BR35-1) and Tupelo (TUP42-1). Besides being a rare and interesting cover, the record itself contains some of the group's greatest music. The sleeve has some wear, but, considering the uniqueness of it, is excellent, with just slight wear at the corners. Includes original printed inner sleeve. Glare in photos is due to sunlight, and not indicative of flaws in the actual item. I will ship internationally, though cost will vary on location.
