Description

I got this LP fresh off the presses in 1972, a gift from MC's singer Alison, who had previously sung in a teenage folk trio with a friend and me (only parting with it now because I got the CD for Christmas!). It's in good-to-very-good condition, but not mint; I played it a lot at the time, only once or twice in the past 30 years.
From inside out: The record itself shows signs of use, but no scratches or serious marks; on recent test it played fine. Stamped first press matrix ZAL-1141.P-1W AND ZAL-1142.P-2W. The inner sleeve is a little grubby but quite intact. The gatefold sleeve shows some slight blotching, and one of the two openings for the disc is a little worn at the edges. Finally, it has the original plastic outer sleeve, not as transparent as it was 40+ years ago.

In response to a question about condition, I gave the following additional information: No writing or splits on the cover; just some crease marks and the faint blotching shown in the photos of the gatefold interior. The spine likewise is intact, not split, but does have crease marks. There are visible marks on the disc surface, including a faint scratch approx. 2cm long centred on track 3a; otherwise the marks are minor. There is some crackle on playback, as might be expected with a 45-year-old record that has been played and not kept in a climate-controlled chamber. There is also some popping, but nothing major. There *is* one very slight skip, on the fade-out of track 2a; I don't have the equipment to establish whether this is trapped dirt (and therefore repairable) or groove damage.
