Description

This is a rare East Coast Stereo pressing of "Meet The Beatles". Stereo pressings of Beatles albums before 1966 are very much less common than their Mono counterparts. 
This is the second label variation with all ASCAP credits except for 1 BMI credit after "I Want To Hold Your Hand". This variation is somewhat harder to find in Stereo pressings!
The record is housed in the original date appropriate Royal Blue inner sleeve.
As impressive as these facts are, please read on:

"Although it is not known exactly when Capitol Records began shrink-wrapping it's albums, visual evidence indicates that "Meet The Beatles!" was not shrink-wrapped when it was initially issued on January 20, 1964. During the end credits of "The First U.S. Visit" documentary which was filmed in early February, 1964, fans are shown purchasing copies of the album in a New York record store. The albums are NOT in any protective bag or shrink-wrap. While many record retailers displayed the album without protection, some stores placed the jackets in loose poly-bags."

The "Meet The Beatles" album offered here is one such rare example of the loose "in-store Baggy" wrap.
The printing in the upper left corner of the wrap states,
"This is a STEREO Record----To Be Played Only on STEREO Phonographs". The word Stereo is printed vertically on the left side of the wrap. The words "Our Price" is printed to the left of a price of $4.98 that is super-imposed on a map of the U.S.
There is a "breath hole" at the bottom left, front of the poly-bag.
This is a rare and original example of the historic first U.S. album by The Beatles.
