Description

MCCOY TYNER “The Real McCoy” RVG, Blue Note BLP 4264 Mono Vinyl

This is 1967, first edition, “VAN GELDER” stamped pressing of MCCOY TYNER’s “The Real McCoy” on the "Liberty” labels of Blue Note BLP 4264. Musicians include McCoy Tyner – piano, Joe Henderson - tenor saxophone, Ron Carter – bass, Elvin Jones – drums.

VINYL plays with very light surface noise (i.e, crackle, static, ?? or ????, relative to the volume of the music/instruments), with occasional pops and ticks. But ensemble sections are very clear, dynamic and strong with clean transients, and full tone. No distortion. Excellent gloss. A couple non-feelable marks. (If you can’t feel it, you won’t hear it). The “Liberty” labels are clean, with spindle wear under direct light. See photos.

COVER is in very good shape. Corners worn. Ringwear. Seams and spine mostly clean. See photos. “BLUE NOTE RECORDS INC., 43 West 61st St., New York 23, N.Y. 10023” back jacket shows wear, small blue stain, some ringwear. Mostly clean. Please see photos.

This LP was play-tested on a high-end audio system. RECORD CLEANED ON ULTRASONIC CLEANER.
