MAY BLITZ 'May Blitz'  Vertigo (Swirl) 6360 007
This trio's aggressive out'n'out hard rock style brought them to the attention of progressive label Vertigo Records who saw May Blitz as being in the same vein as Black Sabbath and Uriah Heep, both of whom were signed to the label.  Their debut self-titled LP was released in mid-1970 and contained seven lengthy self-composed tracks, distinguished by the use of echoed feedback guitar playing from James Black. Also featured ace drummer / percussionist Tony Newman and Reid Hudson on bass.


Sound: Some soft clicks on my B&O but no jumps, suface noise is intermittent. Visually: Surface marks, light grazing (G+). Label is clean, B-side has name written on (see picture). Original Vertigo swirl inner bag is clean with plastic inner, sleeve spines intact, gatefold inner is clean with light brown 'molding' down central fold, cover is clean, signature on back (see picture) with light brown 'molding' (see picture). 

This is a rare album, it's a great album, this is not a prime condition copy - a great collection starter maybe.
