ROMAX 7" JA, matrix: WR 77 A: MAX ROMEO THE REVEREND ("Don't Let The Reverend Turn You Fool, People...Don't Let Him Use You As A Tool...For Him God Is In Vatican...And Him Send Him Here To Rape The Land...Holding The Bible In His Hand"...without doubt one of Maxie's most militant & best ever...this is outstanding didactic reggae...straight to the Vatican's head...killer horns on this one, I'm not sure if this is a trombone or an alto sax...sounds mighty...rhino-stampede, if yunno what I mean...produced by Winston Riley...comes as very rare original first press (watch the black lettering on the white ground!!!) from 1974...top shape...killer sounds...baaaaaad tune...a definite MUST for roots collectors!) B: TECHNIQUES ALL STARS VATICAN (Absolute killer serious version side w/ great a cappella parts...I&I tell ya!) ORIGINAL PRESS (NOT A RE-PRESS) FEATURE: NATTY CHASE THE BARBER WAX'N'SOUND: ex / ex, both sides show lightest wear only, plays killer style all the while w / excellent sound + killer punch, gorgeous! LABEL: both sides show lightest general wear only, NO writings/markings on both sides, NO damages, light fading of printing on A-side - watch the scan, please! Something 'bout Sound + Vision: We shouldn't rely on visual appearance alone (as pretty looks isn’t all as they say) - therefore these records are graded after their visual appearance and their sound quality! I personally prefer a record with crackling but strong sound + punch to one playing clean but with surface noise from the pressing (as we find with re-pressed discs - too - often). Grading records is a very subjective thing but I try hard to be objective as a human being can be (yes indeed, this seller is a human being). THIS IS MY VINYL GRADING SCALE: EX (= really great - EX means "excellent", really...) VG (= nice, if you don't have an excellent one - by the way: VG means "very good"...) G (= playable, but you might find a better one - G means "good", but this term may be a bit euphemistic to reggae-vinyl-novices. Be realistic: a record graded G doesn't jump nor stick, but that's the best I can say about it...)
