This is "Axis - Another Revolable thing" by Masayuki Takayangi New Direction Unit released on the private Offbeat records label in Japan. It is ORLP-1005 - a killer live recording from September 5, 1975...the sound is amazing(the mics used are all listed for all you audiophile folks!) and the playing burns. A very heavy free jazz record - all 22 minutes of side two will peal the paint off your walls!! Makes Merzbow and Borbetomagus sound pretty tame.

Both the vinyl and cover are in wonderful like new/near mint condition. There is no insert or OBI but I have no idea whether this originally came with them or not. A beautiful copy!

Features a quartet of Masayuki Takayanagi on guitar, Kenji Mori on reeds, Nobuyoshi Ino on bass, and Hiroshi Yamazaki on percussion.

Needless to say, but this lp is EXTREMELY rare and I paid a hefty sum for it myself...so I set a reserve at $50 less then what I paid for it. A holy grail for collectors of avant garde or free jazz. Takayanagi is a Japanese legend and has played with folks like John Zorn and Masahiko Togashi. Fans of FMP, BYG, Nurse with wound, etc take note!

Please note I left the LP in its sealed plastic sleeve when I scanned it; hence the visible line at the back of the cover which is the sealing strip of the plastic sleeve.
