As I recently brought this very nice copy of The MARVELETTES' PLAYBOY album out of the record vault, I realized that for years it is and has been a valuable record. I have let it sit with many others for years while no one enjoys them. There are collectors and those just starting their collections that would probably love to have this historic and hard to find mono white label copy of PLAYBOY. The White Tamla label is in very good shape with a faint hairlike scratch on it's left side of side one. . This small scratch carries on into the vinyl as a very faint line. It does not effect the sound quality as I listened to the entire album about 30 minutes before writing these comments. Both sides play fantastic . No Skips. No loud, major aggravating pops. There is at times some quiet surface noise that I associate with 50 year old records anyway. It sounds beautiful and nostalgic. The vinyl is EX- with normal surface scuffs and very faint scratches here and there . The largest being the one just mentioned. I have more surface scuffs on my favorite personal albums than this nice disc does. The cover is in excellent condition showing little to no ring wear. The graphics are bold and vibrant. . Corners and seams are really good and shown above. The back cover , it appears had a piece of tape over the letter Y in PLAYBOY. ( SHOWN ABOVE) This left a little wear mark .The lower left back corner also, as seen above , has a small issue. Other wise the back cover is showing no ring wear and graphically looks great. I have seen a few people ask an outrageous amount for this GEM. I'm asking for a less outrageous amount. Here it is classic vinyl enthusiasts! You don't really need Hugh Hefner type money for this Playboy. RARE.
