You are bidding for a CLASSIC UK 50'S ROCK AND ROLL 78 RPM single by MARTY WILDE AND THE WILDCATS called ENDLESS SLEEP backed with HER HAIR WAS YELLOW issued on the PHILLIPS record label in the UK in 1958, cat numberP B 835 (BLUE AND SILVER LABEL). The record is in excellent condition with excellent labels. The record has little wear with few slight surface scuffs and few surface scratches,and plays with no jumps and clicks and a minimum of surface noise. CLASSIC UK 50'S ROCK AND ROLL from MARTY WILDE with two ROCKING tracks, the A-side an atmospheric ROCKING BALLAD and a cover of an American hit which it surpassed. MARTY hugely talented with a fine rock and roll voice and great stage presence. He covered many US hits and made them his own, often with a better version. For a while he was a huge star with his own tv shows, JACK GOOD'S WHAM and also OH BOY!. He made several fiolms and appeared in musicals on the stage in London's West End, but his popularity petered out when he got married. However he resurrected his career as a songwriter and had a number of top ten hits for other artistes final writing top his for his daughter KIM WILDE. Still performing today, selliing out theatres with his rock and roll act. Classic UK ROCK AND ROLLER . CLASSIC UK ROCK 'N' ROLL RECORD. . RARE in decent condition, from my own collection.
