Description
Marty Robbins "Rock 'N Roll 'N Robbins" Columbia LP 2601 released in 1956. This record is the rarest of the rare...in 1956 Columbia made an attempt to cash in on the Elvis Presley/Rockabilly craze that was sweeping the nation by taking Mary Robbins into the studio to record six songs in the rock and roll/rockabilly style. The LP was released as a 10" LP on Columbia's "House Party" series. The record apparently did not sell well making it one of the rarest rock and roll LPs of the 1950s. The cover is in VG condition, it is free of writing, stickers, tears etc., the top seam is split, there is some color chipping present around the edges of the front of the cover, the vinyl is in VG condition, used but not abused, there are surface scuffs and surface scratches, nothing deep, the record plays well on my Pioneer turntable, it has bright presence in the music with just a small amount of background static. This is a decent used copy a rare record for what I consider a reasonable minimum bid. It is the only copy I have ever seen in 44 years of record collecting.
