Description

Hello and welcome. Beginning in the 1960s, I made it my goal to collect every 5-star record still available, and I continued my search for 40 years. While not all the records I list for sale reached that lofty goal, they do represent an undying search for the unique and wonderful in the world of sound. I'm happy to be able to offer them to you now. Here is what you're bidding on:
TITLE & ARTIST: "The Twilight Zone" - by Marty Manning on the Columbia Record label (CL 1586), in beautiful original Mono sound, issued in 1961.
CONDITION: JACKET - VG+(Jacket has some light to moderate edge/corner/ring/rub wear; there are splits at top and bottom that have been taped, and the back seam is extensively worn - please see actual album in photos); VINYL - Excellent(Vinyl has some light scuff marks - visually graded under special daylight balanced spotlight).
SPECIAL FEATURES: Rare and original Columbia Records MONO copy of this fine "The Twilight Zone" record; back cover features extensive notes and descriptions of Rod Serling and his writing/producing career. Here's what the the notes say in part:
Subtitled "A Sound Adventure In Space," this is not any sort of soundtrack to the original The Twilight Zone TV show, although it opens with a version of the show's well known title music. Recorded November 7, 21, and 29, 1960. Not coincidentally, this album was released on the Columbia label, whose parent, CBS, was promoting the then-new Friday night series called "The Twilight Zone"; please don't miss this jewel. SPECIAL NOTE: This is the ORIGINAL issue, not the later "special products" re-issue.
TRACKS: A1 The Twilight Zone 2:07 A2 Forbidden Planet 2:28 A3 The Lost Weekend Theme 2:41 A4 Invitation 3:04 A5 You Stepped Out Of A Dream 2:16 A6 The Unknown 2:15 B1 Far Away Places 2:13 B2 Spellbound Concerto 2:16 B3 The Sorcerer's Apprentice 2:16 B4 The Moon Is Low 2:25 B5 Night On Bald Mountain 2:19 B6 Shangri-La 1:59

Thanks! If you have further questions about condition or content, please don't hesitate to ask. You may bid with unworried confidence. Our sales history is your assurance of absolute integrity. Thank you and good luck.
OUR GRADING SYSTEM: We grade visually, and we are happy to listen to any LP and give you an aural grade as well. SS (Still Sealed as from the factory); NM (Near Mint - our highest grade; the vinyl has only a very few light marks that do not affect play); VG++ (Very Good Plus Plus - a few more light marks than Near Mint; still a great record that plays near perfectly); VG+ (Very Good Plus - an enjoyable, played and loved, obviously used but still listenable record, usually with some light pops, but free of major audible distraction; jacket may be lightly worn, slightly dinged, even very lightly split, but NEVER trashed); VG (Very Good) and below - we usually do NOT sell these, but if we have some good reason to offer such a record, we will explain completely).
