" MARK TWAIN'S AMERICA " (1960) Music by ROBERT RUSSELL BENNETT (PROJECT 20) A "masterful" score by ROBERT RUSSELL BENNETT accompanied the NBC TV" PROJECT 20" Production of "MARK TWAIN'S AMERICA". BENNETT is best known as a legendary Orchestrator of Broadway Musicals. This album, pressed on RCA CUSTOM RECORDS, features only the music that was heard in the documentary. (LBOP 4504/5) and no narration. It is one of a number of RCA CUSTOM recordings of music and programs heard on the NBC Television Series. They were not intended for broadcast, nor commercial sale. The purpose of their being recorded on vinyl is anybody's guess. But this one and others do preserve the work of the great ROBERT RUSSELL BENNETT and one of his lesser known projects. There are some surface scuffs, but the record is overall in very good condition. The cover has some clear tape at the top and back seams, and shows some scuffing around the edges, but as per the picture it looks pretty good. SHIPPING COST: U.S.A. / ONTARIO $9.00.
