New, Mint: record is new, often sealed.
NM: in beautiful shape, might have very light cover wear and light signs of handling.
EX: very light cover wear, some wear at edges/corners possible, sticker/stamp possible.
VG: some cover wear, may have light seam split, cutout hole or cut out, sticker wear, small woc.
VINYL NM
New, Mint: record is new, unplayed - often sealed.
Mint- (M-): looks like new and could be unplayed; often achive copy or from a serious collector.
Near Mint (NM): record in beautiful shape; maybe lightest surface (sleeve wear) and handling wear only.
EX: light surface wear only; light surface hairlines possible; few signs of handling, rubbing wear, sleeve wear.
VG: no heavy marks, but several signs of wear like hairlines, surface marks, could be dusty - still collectable.
