Description
MALACHI - Holy Music Verve US 1967 Original.
Very trippy experimental LP, widely regarded as one of the first psychedelic albums and apparently extensively used by acid heads at the time to accompany their trips. It's instrumental, with strong eastern vibes and is actually very nice to drift off to, even if you aren't under the influence and trying to reach a higher plain on consciousness.
From the sleeve notes:- "Malachi's music transcends the traditions of East and West and represents the new synthesis which is still being worked out in aesthetics, philosophy and religion by those participating in the psychedelic revolution."
Condition:
Vinyl
Vinyl actually looks close to mint - no spindle marks, one light scuff. Large sections are very quiet though, so there is a bit of occasional light noise, but even this would probably go with a good clean EX
Outer Sleeve
Glorious psychedelic gatefold looks really nice. The only issue is a 4" split to bottom seam of back gatefold at opening. Comes with correct Verve inner sleeve.
Gradings Used
M I never use this grade for second hand records.
M- Almost as new, no noticeable marks.
EX Perhaps a few featherlight whispy marks, but no scratches or deterioration in sound
VG+ Some light marks on the vinyl, but nothing that should cause clicks or pops, just occasional light surface noise.
VG Some heavier marks and maybe a few scratches that will cause some noise, but will still be a very enjoyable listen with definitely no sticks or skips or constant surface noise.
G Quite heavily marked. Will not skip or stick, but will play with significant noise, repeating clicks etc.
