ONLY ORIGINAL COPY ON EBAY AS OF 9-18-2016. Three are copies of the 180 gram remaster / remix on eBay in the $20’s. THIS IS THE ORIGINAL MIX.
Beautiful FIRST PRESSING of this oddball collectible that always commands a good price on auction sites. Right now, only the recent180g reissue is available which shows that the original is not only admired (180g reissues don’t grow on trees) and valuable.
This album has a cut corner but I don’t think it is a cutout. I think the cut is Guinness’ identification of this LP as a promo copy. Guinness did not press separate promos, preferring to use cut corners or punches.
Chris Hills who wrote all of the tracks for Madcliff is the same Chris Hills that was an early player that formed The Free Spirits and recorded 2 LPs with them (Larry Coryell, Jim Pepper, etc.) and he is also the singer / songwriter and rock band member in the late 1960's who formed the group Everything Is Everything that included Jim Pepper and was the first band to cover the absolute stone classic "Witchi Tai To". He had several other LP releases. He later recorded for 5 years with The Players Association.
Stored vertically in a smoke free environment for 39 years.
