Description
Nurse With Wound Alice The Goon LP Edition of 500 copies. A new NWW mutation, with some of the most hauntingly evocative pieces in Stapleton's catalog, as striking and unusual as anything else Nurse With Wound has produced. A coherent sampler of Nurse With Wound’s range of dark and humorous that includes a full side of »Funeral Music For Perez Prado« on vinyl for the first time, the masterpiece »(I Don’t Want to Have ) Easy Listening Nightmares« from »Alice the Goon«, and a a remix/rework of this track, renamed as »Alice The Goon (A Floating Eye)«.The tracks have been remastered by Colin Potter for a new full LP with a new Babs Santini artwork.»(I Don’t Want to Have ) Easy Listening Nightmares« is fairly creative experimental electronic music, mixing distortion and cartoon parps, sinister rhythms, looping mambo and a surrealist feeling going through the whole track.»Alice The Goon (A Floating Eye)« is a brilliant rework of the previous track by Colin Potter, a more industrial approach and thickening rhythms.»Funeral Music For Perez Prado« is perhaps the most atmospheric ambient track by Stapleton, and the backdrop for strange dream-like gibberish centering around a shakuhachi phrase played by David Jackman aka Organum back in '87.
