Blue Note Records BLP 1591 - Lou Donaldson - Takes Off LP released in 1958. The condition of the record is near mint minus, really great. The cover, which is still in the original shrink wrap but is not still sealed, is in near mint minus condition, some wear is evident on the leading bottom corner; there is no writing on the cover. This is a deep groove pressing. Rudy Van Gelder recorded the album and RVG is stamped in the dead wax on both sides; the ear is etched in the dead wax on both sides. The address on the label is 47 W. 63rd NYC. Personnel is L.D., alto sax, Donald Byrd, trumpet; Curtis Fuller, trombone; Sonny Clark, piano; George Joyner, bass; Art Taylor, drums. A superb copy of a hard to find record.
