Up for auction is a monster rarity LP from the NW instro and vocal hall of fame. Titled, Little Bill and The Blue Notes, The Fiesta Club Presents LP. Released in 1963 on Camelot Records, no. J--102.

Little Bill, best known for the hit, “I Love An Angel” and still plays out around Seattle at the present. This is one hard record to track down, even in the Northwest. In my 25 or more years of collecting i’ve only come across this a few times. Yet, i’ve had 50 or so various Sonics LP’s.

This Blue Notes LP is graded VG+ due to a number of heavy scuffs, light scratches, various tics and pops with several jumps, (NOT skips). Seems there are two songs on side one which i’m mainly talking about, “Cantaloupe Float” and “I Love An Angel”. The rest of the LP along with side two, play VG+ or better. Plays loud, clear, crisp and mostly clean with the exception of the above mentioned issues. Center label looks decent and close to new.

A mixture of NW instro rock, R&B, organ led popcorn and northern soul, white boy styled vocals.

Cover jacket is a thing of beauty. Has most of it’s original shrink wrap which is tight fitting. Super clean front cover. Nice and new looking spine, seams and corners. Very light ring wear noted on right side of back, 2” by 3” tear/missing of shrink near bottom corner on back. Very slight wear overall of this cover. Grades M- due to light wear. Granted, not near mint by any means, yet a decent play copy with a near “9” for the cover. Not only is this super rare, it’s also super fine.
