ITEM. Link Wray: Yesterday and Today (Record Factory Rare LP Stereo 1929, 1969). Album is M-. Vinyl and labels are very clean. Plays VG+.I am also listing the original Epic LP and very rare Great Guitar Hits on Vermillion 1924.

SELLER'S LISTING AND GRADING PRACTICE. I am converting all of my vinyl collection to CD and selling some of those records on E-Bay.  As a result, I have played each record shortly before listing and I have graded the vinyl based upon how it actually plays in accordance with Goldmine grading standards.  I am only listing records that grade VG, VG+ or M-.  All of my listings are used records, so none should receive a Goldmine M (mint) rating intended only for new, unplayed records.  I don't list any record that plays worse than VG because it's not worth doing so in terms of my time or customer satisfaction issues. With respect to albums and labels, my practice is to note any significant defects, such as wear, seam splits, stickers, dealer marks or cuts, names of prior owners. All records come with a sleeve, which may or may not be the original, and a used, transparent vinyl album cover. If the album is still in its shrink wrap, this is stated.

Relevant Goldmine grading standards are as follows:  

M-, which is the same as Near Mint (NM).  "A nearly perfect record. Many dealers won't give a grade higher than this, implying (perhaps correctly) that no record is every truly perfect. The record should have no obvious signs of wear." ----- "An LP jacket should have no creases, folds, seam splits or any other noticeable similar defect. No cut out holes, either. And of course, the same should be true of any other inserts, such as posters, lyric sleeves and the like. Basically, an LP in Near Mint condition looks as if you just got it home from a new record store and removed the shrink wrap."

Very Good Plus (VG+).  "A Very Good Plus record will show some signs that it was played and otherwise handled by a previous owner who took good care of it.  Record surfaces may show some slight signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or very light scratches that don't affect one's listening experience. Slight warps that do not affect the sound are OK. The label may have some ring wear or discoloration, but it should be barely noticeable. The center hole will not have been mishapen by repeated play. Picture sleeves and LP liner sleeves will have some slight ring wear, lightly turned up corners, or a slight seam split. An LP jacket may have slight signs of wear also and may be marred by a cut-out hole, indentation, or corner indicating it was taken out of print and sold at a discount. In general, if not for a couple of minor things wrong with it, this would be Near Mint. All but the most mint-crazy collectors will find a Very Good Plus record highly acceptable. A synonym used by some collectors and dealers for a 'Very Good Plus" is 'Excellent'."

Very Good (VG). "Many of the defects found in a VG+ record will be more pronounced in a VG disc.  Surface noise will be evident upon playing, especially in soft passages and during a song's intro and fade, but will not overpower the music otherwise. Groove wear will start to be noticeable, as will light scraches (deep enough to feel with a fingernail) that will affect the sound.  Labels may be marred by writing, or have tape or stickers (or their residue) attached. The same will be true of picture sleeves or LP covers. However, it will not have all of these problems at the same time, only two or three of them." 

PAYMENT, SHIPPING AND HANDLING. Seller only accepts PayPal.  Shipping and handling charge for economy shipping of one single or double LP (or one three record anthology) within the United States via media mail is $4.00.  Combined shipping is available for up to 4 albums (containing no more than 5 records total).  I use only one type of record mailing box and this is the maximum it will handle safely.  Add $1.50 for each addtional album.  E.g. Shipping and handling for four albums in in one mailing box would be $8.50. 

For USPS shipments to Canada, for which media mail is not available, add $3.00 to the basic $4.00 charge. Then, the same terms above apply for combined shipping. 

Seller will not ship to countries where he considers the mails unreliable. This precludes shipments to most developing coutnries. For countries, such as UK, Austrailia, Japan, Germany, most other Western European countries and Scandinavia, if the purchase price, exclusive of shipping and handling, is over $15, seller will provide purchaser with actual USPS mailing charges after a purchase is made and will ship upon receipt of the purchase price, including actual mailing charges plus $2.50 for shipping and handling. If the purchase price is not over $15, seller will ship only with the United States and Canada.  

Seller normally ships on the first business day following receipt of payment.
