Link Wray - Jack The Ripper/ The Black Widow
(Stateside SS 217 UK 7" 1963)
This is a UK original 7" single pressing. The record has black & silver "Stateside" labels which have a 4 pronged centre. The record has 1st press -1N/ -1N matrix stampers. It comes with its original Stateside company paper sleeve. Two great early 1960's Instrumental Rock 'n' Roll/ Surf--Garage tracks.
Vinyl: There are some mild, more moderate to moderate sleeve rubs which can be seen under a strong light. There are 4 or 5 light hairline surface marks. These measure from 1 cm to 2 cm in length. Good+ condition. The labels are in Very Good++ condition & show mild spindle wear only. The company paper sleeve is in Very Good+ condition. There is some light to mild ringwear & creasing. There are no seam splits. There is a small stain on the front.
I have fully play tested this 7" single. It plays Very Good overall. There is some mild, very mild or more moderate crackle in the background to a varying degree. It only notices in the quieter places. There are no noticeable clicks or pops. Overall, a very serviceable copy.
