Lightnin' Slim on Excello LP-8000-Rooster Blues. Original 1960 L.P. on the orange Excello label. The jacket is in Vg+ condition with no rips, tears, splits or writing of any kind. Light creases are present in the corners as well as a few other areas. Overall, this cover is very clean.

The vinyl is in glossy Vg- (Very Good Minus) condition, light scratches, marks and scuffs are evident. There are also several moderately deep, 1/2" to 1" long scratches. This record provides an enjoyble listening experience, although there are audible pops and clicks present throughout the recording. Both labels are clean.

Grading Standards

Mint- (M-) Almost New. Might have a slight paper scuff or hairline. Plays, with no noise that is due to visible imperfections. Highest grade I use.

Very Good++ (Vg++) Very Clean Records, Well taken care of. Some light scuffs and hairlines, a few light marks. Plays extremely well.

Very Good+ (Vg+) Well taken care of. A few scuffs, possibly a few light scratches and marks. Minimum of distracting noise.

Very Good (Vg) Not especially well taken care of, but not abused either. Light scratches, scuffs and marks. Plays with some background noise but is still enjoyable and collectible. Some gloss. Probably not kept in sleeve.

Very Good- (Vg-) Light scratches, scuffs and marks which are more numerous than Vg. A bit more noise. Not much gloss.

Good+ (G+) Light to moderate scratches and marks, dirtier looking with little or no gloss. Plays through with moderate noise, distracting to some, but below level of music. May not be good enough for Dee Jaying.

Good (G) Still plays through without jumps or skips. Noise approaching, but still below level of music. Probably has seen some some time on floor, and I don't mean dance floor.

Poor-Fair- Excellent sanding disc.

If a record's audio differs substantially from it's visual grade, I will note it.
