Description
This is the rare original mono pressing of Lee Morgan “The Gigolo” on the Liberty labels of Blue Note BLP 4212. (Beginning with BLP 4203, Blue Note provided special promo-only mono pressings to radio stations that had not yet converted to stereo transmission. There were only seventeen mono issues in this special series, all on the Liberty blue and white labels.) The playing surface has three inaudible scuffs, but in all other respects looks as new, with a high luster; perhaps played once. The coated New York/L.A. cover is also immaculate – bright and clean throughout - with just a small ding at the upper right corner; special “MONO” sticker is at the top, on the front. Illustrated inner sleeve in included. Personnel include Wayne Shorter, Harold Mabern, Bob Cranshaw, and Billy Higgins. WE NOW ACCEPT PAYPAL. However, you can continue to pay directly to us using VISA, MasterCard or Discover credit cards, if you prefer.
