Description
This is the original deep groove RVG-etched “P”-pressing of Lee Morgan “Volume 2” on the New York 23 labels of Blue Note BLP 1557. The flat rim playing surface is in excellent condition, with beautiful luster; just five tics on the first track of Side 2, otherwise the sound is clear, crisp and bright throughout. The laminated West 63rd St. cover has 1/8” wear at the top corners and ½” wear at the bottom right corner; 1” wear on the bottom seam, at the opening; the back slick has a previous owner’s stamp at the top and a water stain along the bottom of the left edge. Personnel include Gigi Gryce, Benny Golson, Wynton Kelly, Paul Chambers, and Charlie Persip. $750.00.
