Description
Absolutely STUNNING original copy of Lee Morgan's Vol. 3 Blue Note Mono LP. You likely will not find a nicer copy of this record. Deep Groove RVG etching and ear. FLAT EDGE 47 West 63rd NY 23 address to LP and cover. We have never had an original Blue Note LP in as beautiful condition as this one, both visually and on playback... This came from a small well chosen jazz collection we recently acquired - we have also listed Herbie Nichols Trio LP -Blue Note 1519.
COVER: VG++ High laminated-glossy colorful front cover looks fabulous - no writing, ringwear or laminate lifting, etc... Red wax pencil circles the titles on rear sleeve. 3 light age stains and a 1" area where rear white slick is slightly lifted, but not torn from cardboard. Corners are sharp w/ little wear. Top and bottom seams at center are cracked, but not fully split. Sleeve opening is still sharp. No text on sharp spine.
VINYL: MINT- Gorgeous copy with lots of shine 3 or 4 wispy play marks - sounds unbelievably GREAT! Near silent run ins and linking grooves... only a small bit of background sound between, not during, tracks 2 & 3 ------- Just superb - absolutely free of any high end distortion. BIG SOUND! High and low frequencies come through clearly! LP was probably played carefully only a handful of times. Record retains an as new look, feel and sound.
LABELS: MINT Beautiful and clean. (please note there is glare in the picture of the side one label - it is not wear to the blue area of the label)
